Due to our current international operations, we are seeking for a Technical Manager, willing and able to work abroad.
Position Requirements
The Technical Manager is responsible for the follow-up - from a technical perspective, of the production, maintenance and respect of the technical specifications, software developments and operations, in the field of Customs, Excise and Taxation applications. More specifically, the job tasks can be summarized in the following responsibilities:
• To assist in the follow up and co-ordination of technical matters, acting as a facilitator to converge all efforts towards the project objectives;
• To review the quality and conformance of the technical deliverables (specification, software, documentation) and services;
• To follow up the operations;
• To issue task specifications;
• To enforce timetable and planning;
• To clarify issues and prevent potential problems;
• To act as the guardian of the Service Level Agreements.
Candidate Profile
• University/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or other relative discipline from a Greek or foreign institute
• 6 to 10 years recent experience and an appropriate knowledge of the current state of the art technical evolution;
• Familiarity with IT projects, preferably in the field of Customs, Excise and Taxation business;
• Strong experience in at least 2 of the following domains on large projects: system analysis/ design, system development, system specification, development life cycle, security, project methodology, software testing, operations, telecommunications networking and quality assurance;
• Good communication skills, team worker, rapid self-starting capability and ability to work autonomously are mandatory;
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication in front of large audiences, experience in international/multicultural environment and public administration are assets;
• Experience in ITIL, experience in implementation and enforcement of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), experience as a technical writer
