Uni Systems Automated Payment System, incorporates the know-how of our experts in a robust and proven system that offers to a bank or a group of banks the ability to handle all types of Payments through a unique, standardized system resulting in:
- lower operating costs
- increased operating time and efficiency
- easier and faster introduction of new Banking systems or external payment networks
- enables the offering of consistent payment services throughout the world to the full range of Bank customers
The Multi-Bank functionality of APS gives the capability to the Bank to support the incoming and outgoing payment orders of their affiliate banks / branches abroad, as well as the payment orders of specialized Business Units within the Bank (e.g. Private Banking, Shipping Loans), through a common centralized system fulfilling local and cross-border needs.
APS uses a variety of connectivity standards and can be integrated with the Bank internal systems (such as Treasury, Trade Finance) and the external payment systems (SWIFT, EBA/STEP2 EBA/SEPA etc).
APS covers Domestic and International Payments functionality, SEPA Credit Transfers and SEPA Direct Debits functionality.
The system automates the payments process with the implementation of straight-through-processing rules (STP), enabling the Bank departments and branches, or other Banks’ host applications, to initiate payments that can travel through the Bank without human intervention.
The system provides the following functionality
Automatically notifies the payment initiators that transactions are complete or the bank’s responsible that operational controls are required.
Selects the most efficient payment path to route the outgoing payment, based on several predefined criteria. Payment paths that are currently supported are the following:

Offers a Repair mechanism for manual handle of non STP payment requests.
Offers a ‘four eye principle’ authorization process for all repaired messages and for special categories of STP messages.
Records all incoming and outgoing transactions thus enabling:
- Monitoring and control of payment flows to various payment systems and multiple corresponding channels
- Referencing transactions
- Identifying suspect transactions
- Statistical reporting
- Query capabilities
Provides WEB Payment Services.
Supports payment reversals. (MT192 / MT196 - pacs.006/)
Can send and receive messages from affiliate banks or branches abroad, using the internal Bank network instead of existing payment channels.
APS incorporates a Terms & Conditions module that allows the estimation of Interbank charges that are imposed by receiving banks to our Bank.
Comprises a commission module for Interbank Charges. This module supports charges to be collected from sending banks. It invoices all incoming MT103, MT200 and MT202 messages, sends appropriate MTx91, MTx90 or MT999 messages and tracks down charges collections.
Its statistical module offers a variety of statistical reports concerning both incoming and outgoing messages.
Processes automatically all incoming payment requests when certain STP criteria are met thus allowing for auto crediting of the client or for
auto-forwarding of the incoming payment to the Outgoing Messages module.
All incoming payments are checked against payment cover. Cover process include auto match of MT202, MT910, MT950 with an incoming MT103.
Checks incoming payments against third party AML detection software.
Treats multiple type incoming messages of MT201 and MT203 type by dissecting them into MT200 and MT202 type respectively.
Treats automatically all incoming Requests for Cancellation messages.

APS’s SEPA DIRECT DEBIT module supports the SEPA scheme comprising the following functionality:
- Receives and processes incoming direct debit collections to be charged on accounts served by the Bank.
- Supports both B2C and B2B products along with two more proprietary products (B2CU, B2BU) which are specifically designed for the Greek Market.
- Supports all the processing flow, regarding the role of the Bank as Debtor’s Bank. In this context it supports all pre-settlement rejection processes as well as the post settlement ones. (Return and Customer Refund).
- Supports the DMF flow (Debtor Mandate Flow), which is the standard mode in Greece.
