Uni Systems’ partner ecosystem developed four Mature Digital Solutions for Immediate Implementation for the #GreeceVsVirus initiative

The Internet of Things partner ecosystem, led by Uni Systems, responded to the #GreeceVsVirus initiative, a Digital Innovation Program developed by the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance in the fight against COVID-19, by designing and submitting four Mature Digital Solutions for Immediate Implementation.

Greek version follows

Medi-Drone has already been selected for evaluation in the terms of immediate implementation

These solutions were distinguished in the context of the specific program, while one of which was selected for evaluation in the terms of immediate funding, implementation and distribution to the National Health System and the Greek Community.

The selected solution, Medi-Drone, refers to a model of scheduled and emergency transportation of medical supplies, including blood transfusions, vaccines, biological material samples, drugs, and even medical devices in remote areas with the use of Drone technology. Τhe technologies that are going to be used for its completion include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Drone Technology and Specialized Software Applications. Uni Systems’ partner on this solution is ProboTEK.

The four mature and innovative solutions that were created are a result of the effective cooperation between the members of the IoT Innovation Ecosystem and they have the ability to be immediately implemented and distributed. These solutions were shortlisted among 260 submitted proposals and reached the final stage of the program, with a total number of 55 solutions that will be supporting the National Health System in addressing the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative #GreeceVsVirus is ally of the pan-European efforts #EUvsVirus, and aims at the prompt and efficient prevention of the COVID-19 spread with the help of technology, as well as the prevention of another future pandemic.

The other three shortlisted solutions are briefly described below:

A) Hand hygiene compliance monitoring system, 2H. An indirect monitoring holistic system that provides hospitals with actionable data insight about their hygiene, using Internet of Things (IoT) Technology.

B) Crowd control system CCC (Citizen Count Control System). The CCC system monitors and records the level of overcrowding within a space and addresses the needs of the citizen/visitor, the venue operator/ground manager and the public authorities. CCC system allows flexible space management, limitation of new entries and avoidance of large queues. The system will be using Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis and digital signage technologies for its implementation.

C) CovIDPass software platform that allows the safe transportation of citizens in the era after the COVID-19 lockdown, aiming at minimizing the spread of the virus. The solution will service the issuance, safe storage and certification of Digital Certificates and will provide citizens with access at a local, Panhellenic and global level. Blockchain technology will be needed for the implementation of the solution, as well as the interoperability between three different systems of the Greek Government. The platform is currently at a prototype level, and it can easily and rapidly move into the production stage. CovIDPass platform has been developed by Ubitech.

Antony Cassano, Innovation, Research & Development Director of Uni Systems, following the presentation of the selected Mature Digital Solutions for Immediate Implementation, stated: “The #GreeceVsVirus initiative brought a large number of organizations closer, with a shared goal: the fight against COVID-19 with the help of technology. As Uni Systems, we are entirely focused on the strategy that our international experience has indicated to us, thus creating collaborations and partnerships with smaller and bigger companies and organizations, universities, research centers and start-ups. Similar kinds of synergies are rapidly developing globally and we are convinced that the substantial and authentic collaboration will directly affect the growth of innovative investments. On behalf of Uni Systems, I would like to thank all of our partners and especially Ubitech, ProboTEK, Yodiwo and AllCanCode that are by our side us in this action. Also, the Coordinating Body of the Digital Innovation Initiative Against COVID-19, as well as the Ministries of Digital Governance, Development and Investment and Health for the opportunity they gave to all participating companies to prove the dynamics of technology in this challenge we are all experiencing. Our goal is to help the State and the market in any way, and we will support any similar initiatives in the future.”
